...let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit,
perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
2 Corinthians 7:1
We live in a toxic world. The human body is regularly exposed to countless toxins in the form of pollution, food additives, chemicals, drugs, heavy metals, bacteria, viruses, parasites, fungi, and other unhealthy substances. Detoxification is essential. Fortunately, our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made to detoxify most toxins.
Natural methods of detoxification include fresh air, breathing exercises, pure water, organic foods, hydrotherapy, fasting, juicing, homeopathic remedies and herbs. These are some of the natural tools God gave us to cope with earthly toxins.

Do you know what the most deadly toxin we face is? It’s the toxin of sin. It’s a contaminant that mortally stains everyone on earth. Many are content to live in ignorance of this spiritual poison. Others try to detoxify themselves of sin through works, rituals, traditions, and other acts of good intention. But it is a condition that has only one cure — the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Only the one perfect sacrifice of Christ on the cross can purify us from our sins. Only faith in Christ’s work can heal the human condition of eternal death.
There are many effective ways to detoxify the physical body. However, the Bible teaches that there is only one way to purify the soul–by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. That’s the Good News. To God alone be the glory.
